Gliricidia is one of the major tropical forage trees due to its high nutritive value, fast growing capacity and its ability to adapt to a variety of conditions. It is a perennial, medium-sized (1 to15 m high) legume tree. Imparipinnate; leaflets are ovate, 2-7 cm long x 1-3 cm broad.
